Catholics must fulfill their Sunday obligation (Fourth Sunday of Advent) to attend Mass in addition to the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord (Canons 1246-1248). A complete listing of Mass times for the final weekend of December is shown below.
Attending any of the Masses below will fulfill the Sunday obligation (Fourth Sunday of Advent).
Fourth Sunday of Advent (Vigil): Saturday, December 23- 4:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth
Fourth Sunday of Advent: Sunday, December 24- 7:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth
- 9:00 a.m. at St. James
- 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth
Attending any of the Masses below will fulfill the obligation for the Holy Day of Obligation, Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord (Christmas).
Nativity of the Lord (Vigil Mass): Sunday, December 24- 4:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth with Cantor, Organ, and Instruments; Prelude with caroling begins at 3:30 p.m.
- 5:30 p.m. at St. James with Cantor, Organ, and Instruments
Nativity of the Lord (Mass at Night): Sunday, December 24- 10:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth with Choir, Organ, and Orchestra; Prelude begins at 9:30 p.m.
Nativity of the Lord (Mass During the Day): Mon., December 25- 9:00 a.m. at St. James with Vocal Ensemble, Organ, and Orchestra
