GivingTuesday is the Tuesday that immediately follows Thanksgiving in the United States, which is November 28 this year. It is touted as a “global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities in the world.”
Jesus is present, reminding us that he is more powerful than the storm. He desires to heal, renew, and unify the Church and the world by uniting us once again around the source and summit of our faith in the celebration of the Eucharist.
During this year of the National Eucharistic Revival, Downtown Kenosha Catholic parishes’ GivingTuesday funds will go towards replating both the high altar cross above the tabernacle and ciboria at St. Elizabeth and the purchase of brand new matching tabernacle veils, chalice veils, and burses at St. James. Both of these projects are already underway.
To donate to the GivingTuesday initiative, you can pay by cash or check (payable to St. Elizabeth and GivingTuesday in the memo line) and drop it off at the office — or place it in the weekend collection in a separate envelope with GivingTuesday on the front. You may also donate online at our website (see below).
NOTE: There is one combined account for both St. James and St. Elizabeth parishes.
