Catholics observe November as a time to remember the dead, pray for their souls, and reflect on the hope of resurrection.
The DTKC annual Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 8 at St. Elizabeth Church, 714 49th Street.
The 7:00 p.m. Mass is where we specifically pray for our beloved dead buried in our historic Catholic cemeteries of St. Casimir, St. George, St. James, and Old St. Mark. We pray specifically for those souls who are still in Purgatory, waiting for the day when they will be joyfully welcomed into eternal bliss with God and all the saints.
The Requiem Mass will be accompanied by choir, organ, strings, and French horns with music selections by Ludwig van Beethoven, William Croft, Walford Davies, Gabriel Faure, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
