This past weekend, we hosted a dinner party to celebrate Christmas and a significant milestone: 25 years of St. Elizabeth! It was heartening to see so many people from both parishes attend with their friends and family. As the pastor of both the oldest and youngest parishes in Kenosha (St. James and St. Elizabeth, respectively), I am privileged to bring together a diverse group of people within our local Catholic community. Events like this Christmas dinner foster a warm atmosphere filled with laughter, music, and delicious food.
Watching everyone enjoy themselves filled me with gratitude. I am deeply thankful for each of you who attended the event and brought your loved ones. A special thank you goes to Tim Santelli and Spencer Jury, along with the entire kitchen volunteer crew, for preparing such an outstanding meal. I also extend my appreciation to our middle and high school religious education students for serving and cleaning up afterward. Thanks to Thomas Connolly, our emcee, and the jazz trio, Triad, for their wonderful entertainment throughout the night. Additionally, we had numerous parishioners stepping up to help with setup, decorating, bar service, dishwashing, check-in, and performing to spread holiday cheer. Thank you to all of you, too many to list individually, for making this event a success.
