On Friday, November 10 and Saturday, November 11, our combined parishes of St. James and St. Elizabeth had a wonderful time at the second annual variety show. The band was terrific, and all the acts this year were very entertaining. Numerous people gave their time and talent to pull off such a herculean feat.
I would first like to thank staff members Jesse Gomez and Louisa Fredriksson for putting in many hours to plan and coordinate everything leading up to the show and for managing the event on the day of performances.
I am so grateful to Paul Kern for emceeing both nights, tying together the acts with jokes and sundry banter.
I am thankful to all those who had the courage to get up on stage and prepare some type of act for the audience.
Backstage, it also takes a great deal of work to make this all come together seamlessly, so I wish to thank Jeff Jachowicz and our marvelous stage crew.
Lastly, so many people assisted throughout the evening with various tasks (food, bar service, raffle, check-in, coat check, handing out programs, etc.), and we would not have been able to have such a successful event without their help.
I am also especially thankful to everyone who attended one or more of the performances to support the religious education program at our Downtown Kenosha Catholic parishes of St. James and St. Elizabeth.
I cannot wait to start planning for next year’s variety show!
