The Feast of Corpus Christi recalls how Jesus instituted the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist on Holy Thursday. Thomas Aquinas considered the Eucharist to be the greatest of all sacraments (Summa Th. III: 65,3). Thus it is fitting that a feast exists to specifically commemorate the Eucharist. There will be a simple outdoor eucharistic procession following the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, June 2. At the end of the 10:30 a.m. Mass, we will process around the block with the Blessed Sacrament while singing the chant, “Pange Lingua Gloriosi”. Then, after returning to the church, there will be Benediction and Divine Praises before dismissal.
