GivingTuesday is the Tuesday that immediately follows Thanksgiving in the United States, which is December 3 this year. It is touted as a “global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities in the world.”
During this year of the National Eucharistic Revival, Downtown Kenosha Catholic parishes’ GivingTuesday funds will go towards the purchase of portable beverage kiosks/coolers. We rent these every time we hold an event, and owning our own set would be most cost-effective.
In previous years, your generosity to the GivingTuesday fundraising initiative allowed us to purchase curtains for the DTKC Ministry Center auditorium, replate the St. Elizabeth altar cross and ciboria, and purchase matching veils, burses, and other altar linens at St. James.
To donate to the GivingTuesday initiative, you can pay by cash or check (payable to St. Elizabeth and GivingTuesday in the memo line) and drop it off at the office — or place it in the weekend collection in a separate envelope with GivingTuesday on the front. You may also donate online at our website. NOTE:There is one combined account for both St. James and St. Elizabeth parishes.
