At all Masses on the weekend of August 12-13, Fr. Mark Niehaus will be joining us from the Schoenstatt Fathers to preach at all of the Masses. A second collection will be taken to help support their orphanage and tuition centers, which works towards forming new persons and new community with a special personal educational piety and devotion to the Blessed Mother in Tamilnadu, India.
Thank you for your continued support to the Schoenstatt Fathers in the MTA Region in Tamil Nādu, India!
By now you might be familiar with the German word Schoenstatt. It means “beautiful place” and is a place on the Rhine River where a Catholic Movement was started. For over 30 years the Schoenstatt Fathers have been connected to Tamil Nādu, India. One of our main social projects is the Sunrise Children’s Village. With your help in the past we were able to support our orphanage that now cares for 55 persons. Some are partially orphans, while others live there with a condition where they do not have the resources to meet their own basic needs required to learn and grow. The Village has a special interest in offering them a home and from the home enabling them to grow fully with the special pedagogy of love and trust.
Further the collected funds are also used for the formation of the seminarians and for the ongoing formation of the fathers who work with the Schoenstatt’s Pilgrim Mother Apostolate. Promoting this special educational devotion helps families to live their Christian family values with the help of Schoenstatt’s Marian consecration, known as the Covenant of Love.
